You've just purchased one of the finest sleep systems available, backed up by one of the strongest warranties available. At Sealy, we make the mattress that makes you more comfortable, and that includes replacing or reparing any sleep set that fails to live up to our high standards for quality materials and workmanship. Please take a few minutes to read over the warranty guidelines below.

20 Year limited Warranty
Sealy, Inc. guarantees that your TrueForm mattress will be replaced or repaired at our option without cost to you, shoudl it be deemed defective because of faulty workmanship or structural defects during the first ten (10) years of the warranty, excluding specific limitations contained herein. The second ten (10) year period is the pro-rated portion and is detailed in the warranty schedule section of this document. It is understood that this limited warranty does not cover a normal change in softness of the TrueForm memory foam or change in the slow recovery feature of the foam which does not affect the performance qualities of the mattress.

Warranty Coverage:
Your warranty covers the following items during normal wear:

Mattress: This warranty covers any deterioration in the cell structure of the materials that causes the mattress to have visible indentation greater than three-fourths of an inch, not associated with a sag in the box spring. It also covers any physical flaw in the mattress that causes the material to split or crack despite normal usage and proper handeling. If such defects occur during the remaining ten (10) years of this limited warranty, we will, at our option, repair the mattress at a handling cost to you, or replace the mattress at a prorated charge to you. During the first year of the prorated, 10-year period, the prorated replacement charge will be fifty (50) percent of the original purchase price. The prorated charge will increase by five (5) percent for each subsequent year of the prorated period. Our warranty and other performance guarantees are based on tests conducted on our amttresses with a matching Sealy box spring as a "set."

THEREFORE, SUBSTITUTING INAPPROPRIATE MANUFACTURERS' BOX SPRINGS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AND WILL VOID YOUR SEALY WARRANTY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. You may be required to provide proof as to the quality of the box spring being used with your mattress in the event of a warranty claim.

Cover: The zip-off outer cover is warranted for two (2) years, which warrants the product from manufacturing defects and workmanship flaws on the zipper and the seams. The fabric is warranted not to tear under normal use for the first two (2) years but is not warranted to repel stains or damage as a result of misuse or abuse.

Box Spring: This warranty covers - Splits in the wood frame, squeaks, rattles or noises, loose or broken wire. A proper bed frame must continuously support the box spring. For King and queen sets, a center support having at least 5 legs or 5 hardwood cross slats is necessary. (See illustration below for clarification.)

Limited TrueForm Mattress Warranty
This warranty does not cover items and damage not specifically listed in the "Warranty Covers" section are not covered, including, for example:

  • Mattress fabric (including stains, soiling or burns).
  • Structural damage from using an improper bed frame. This warranty applies to queen and king size mattresses or foundations ONLY if they
    are used on an appropriate frame with a rigid center support having at least 5 legs or 5 hardwood cross-slats.
  • Floor models and clearance bedding sold "as is".
  • Bed height.
  • If the mattress, box spring, or cover has been physically abused, damaged, burned, cut or torn.
  • Comfort preference.
  • Body indentations less than 3/4".
  • Sealy mattress damage due to an inappropriate box spring. This mattress is designed for full performance only when matched with the appropriate Sealy box spring as part of a total sleep set.
  • Sheet fit.
  • Replacement of another piece in the sleep set, unless such other piece is also defective.
  • The cover more than two (2) years after purchase.
  • Transportation costs.

If a warranty Problem Occurs...

Your Sealy authorized dealer is obligated to administer your warranty claim. If your retailer is out of business or you have moved from the area, please call Sealy Customer service at 1-800-697-3259. This warranty is valid only to the original purchaser of the product. If the original purchaser sells the product, the subsequent purchaser take the product "as is" and "with all faults." All transportation cost are the responsibility of the purchaser and are additional to any prorated charges. If you did not purchase the mattress directly from a Sealy authorized dealer, this warranty does not apply. This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

In order for this Limited Warranty to be Valid, You must:

  1. Be the original consumer purchaser, and have purchased the sleep set from one of our authorized dealers in the United States or Puerto Rico.
  2. Provide a copy of the original receipt, or other proof of date, and purchase price;
  3. Provide the law label from the defective product.

If identical materials are not available at the time or product service, Sealy reserves the right to substitute material of equal or higher value, or at our option, provide a refund. You'll be responsible for transportation costs of the product to and from the store or factory, as applicable.

This warranty does not cover a sleep set in an unsanitary condition, or when the product failure is due to causes other than defective workmanship or materials. Please refer to the "Do's and Don'ts of Bedding Care" section of this brochure for proper sleep set care.

Exclusive Remedy/Other Limitations

ANY AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES ON THIS PRODUCT, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL NOT EXCEED IN DURATION THE TERM OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, WHICH BEGINS WITH THE DATE OF PURCHASE BY THE CONSUMER. THE SERVICE TERMS STATED IN THIS WARRANTY SHALL BE THE CONSUMER'S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY IN THE EVENT OF PRODUCT FAILER DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD. SEALY SHALL NOT BE LIABILE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT OR THE INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT, OR FOR THE BREACH OF THIS OR ANY OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY.

Sealy does not warrant that this product is suitable for any person's medical condition. Sealy makes no warranty beyond what is contained in writing. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to you. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequental damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. Sealy does not authorize any person to create for it any other obligation or liability in connection with this warranty.

Does and Don'ts of Bedding Care

  • Do give your new sleep set time to "air" upon removal from its plastic packaging Dispose of all plastic packaging as soon as possible.
  • Do carry your mattress flat on its side. It's easier to handle and you'll be less likely to damage the mattress.
  • Do keep your bedding clean. We suggest using a mattress pad, especially if children use the bed.
  • Do replace the old box spring when purchasing a new mattress.
  • Do use an appropriate frame and center support for queen and king size sets. Using the right support frame will ensure that your warranty remains in effect.
  • Do allow your bed to warm to room temperature. The memory foam is temperature sensitive and will soften when it is warm.
  • Don't place your mattress near open flame or expose to fire. This mattress is not flame or fireproof, and can ignite and/or burn if exposed to open flame or fire. When ignited, some bedding material can burn rapidly and emit smoke and hazardous gases.
  • Don't smoke in bed. This mattress is manufacturered as required by federal law to resit, but not necessarily eliminate, ignition by smodlering cigarettes.
  • Don't let anyone stand or jump on your mattress. It was not built for that kind of weight concentration or abuse.
  • Don't allow your mattresses to get wet.
  • Don't remove the law tag label or other labels at the end of your mattress. This serves as a means of identification to establish your warranty rights and provides important care instructions for the life of your sleep set.
  • Don't use dry cleaning fluid of any type on your mattress. These chemicals will damage some of the construction materials.

Sealy TrueForm Mattress Warranty Schedule

Your TrueForm mattress and box spring is covered by a twenty year limited warranty. During the first ten (10) years of the warranty, Sealy guarantees that your TrueForm mattress or box spring will be replaced or repaired at our option without costs to you (other than transportation costs) in the event there is a defect in the mattress or box spring due to faulty workmanship or defective components.

In the second ten (10) year period (the prorated period), during the first year, the prorated replacement charge will be fifty percent (50%) of the original purchase price. The prorated charge will increase by five percent (5%) for each subsequent year of the prorated period. Your purchase date (and the anniversary date for calculating proration) shall be established by the date of purchase of your TrueForm product which is on your receipt. Only the defective part or piece will be repaired or replaced (e.g. a new box spring will not be delivered with a new mattress if it is deemed that the mattress is defective but not the box spring and vice versa). Throughout the entire warranty period, transportation costs are your responsibility. The cover to your TrueForm mattress is controlled by a seperate two (2) year limited warranty and those rights are described elsewhere within this warranty card.

Care Instructions

  • To Clean Mattress Outer Cover: Remove zipped fabric cover. Machine wash warm on gentle cycle with mild detergent, normal spin cycle. Dry on gentle air cycle. DO NOT use bleach. DO NOT Dry Clean.
  • To Clean Base of Outer Cover: Use a damp cloth and soap if necessary DO NOT machine wash. DO NOT run in dryer.
  • TO Clean Inner Cover: Use a damp cloth and soap if necessary. Avoid excess water that will wet the foam. DO NOT remove inner cover.
  • DO NOT Submerge or Soak foam in Water: If an area of foam is soiled, gently hand wash with mild soap and lightly damp cloth to gently cleanse stained area until clean. Be careful not to soak or tear foam. Allow foam to air dry away from heat and sunlight before replacing cover. DO NOT attempt to machine wash or disassemble mattress.
